Black Tie, White Lie

I LOVE the writing & photography to be found on Black Tie, White Lie. It's a foodie's blog but with bits of travel in it too all very eloquently written & gosh darn entertaining! The contributors, Nic & Weekend Peach review everything from local food to fusion, fast food to fine dining & seem to travel quite a bit. Be forewarned: If you're hungry you better stay away lest your stomach revolts on you.

I constantly crave a good nasi lemak, don't you? This one looks good but they reviewed it as average. Must be the great photography skills that has my stomach rumbling now.

Eventful

How was your nice, long holiday weekend? I must say it's been pretty eventful for me: dressed up for a big dinner function on Friday, then the awful news of the landslide early on Saturday morning, the bazaar on Saturday & Sunday & finally Raya Haji on Monday... Happy Raya Haji by the way if it's not too late to wish my fellow Muslims!

I really didn't do much yesterday to celebrate Raya Haji as my family is away & we as a family don't really celebrate it so it's no biggie. I spent almost all of yesterday making new jewelry... Yup, an update is on the horizon so stay tuned lovelies!

Thanks to those who dropped by my table at Threadszoo's Happy Hippyz last weekend. A special hello to Shelby for blogging about it too! I truly appreciate all the support & lovin' folks. You all really know how to make my day :)

On a final note, I'd just like to say that my thoughts & prayers goes out to those affected by the landslide at Bukit Antarabangsa. May you all find safety & respite from this tragic situation. God bless everyone.

Hippies & Bankers

Sorry for the extremely late post today. Had some problems accessing the internet today & then was super busy trying to get ready for Happy Hippyz + the bf's annual Persatuan Pemasaran Kewangan Malaysia dinner tomorrow (ya' know... dress, shoes, nails, etc.). Yes, he's in banking & no, bankers really do know how to have fun! I never fail to have fun at these shindings & boy, the lucky draw prizes they give out every year are just crazy! Fancy a RM20,000 OSIM massage chair? Or a 40 inch plasma TV? Like I said, crazy. Hmmm.... but then again, with the worldwide economic slump maybe the prizes won't be as great. Anyways, I'll keep my fingers & toes crossed so hopefully the prizes will be just as fabulous & I'll actually walk away with one of them this year. Wish me luck!

The Red Thread

The artwork you see at the background is by The Red Thread based in Australia and they're called Sushibirds! "Vibrant graphic birds cut from Japanese papers nest on simple illustrations inspired by nature. Love this wallpaper aptly named Daydream. So suitable for Mimpi right? But at US$125 per roll, I can safely say that this will stay in my wishlist for a loooooog time!

Anyways, no harm in oogling it over at Hygge & West. There are more colors to droll over too!
