Peace, Love & LOL

I put this up here to share with you because 1. I've always loved this song "Chasing Pavements" by Adele Adkins, and 2. I think this guy is SO cute (I never could resist a guy with a dweebish sense of humour & a nice voice). Enjoy it ladies! ;)

Hello Fly FM Listeners!

I really haven't been feeling all that well this weekend but I just got a call from Yatie, a dear friend of mine who told me that Mimpi Murni was mentioned on Fly FM's Campur Chart Show! And now smses are pouring in! Wow, what a pick me upper! A big THANK YOU with buckets of gratitude to Hani Madu & Mia Palencia for the mention & a special "Hey ya!" to those of you who are here thanks to the radio ;)

Recuperating

Just thought I'd pop in to tell you kind folks that I haven't been feeling well since Friday so if you've been waiting for a reply to your email please accept my apologies while I take the weekend off to recuperate. I've been curled up in bed for most of yesterday but braved the heat this afternoon for some awesome banana leaf rice to boost my lack of appetite. Now I'm back in bed, snuggled up & ready for another sleep marathon. I promise I'll be back on Monday, bright-eyed & bushy-tailed. Hope you all are having a great weekend so far! xoxo

Daily Drop Cap

Mis for Mimpi. Like that fancy decorative initial cap I just used? Then check out the Daily Drop Cap which is "an ongoing project by typographer and illustrator Jessica Hische. Each day (or at least each WORK day), a new hand-crafted decorative initial cap will be posted for your enjoyment and for the beautification of blog posts everywhere." They're super simple to use & there are new alphabets to check out everyday too! Neat.

Tree Bookshelf

I seem to be on a decor binge lately so I hope I'm not boring you... Yet! Anyways, how can you not love this tree bookshelf from the talented Shawn Soh of Korea? Beats Ikea's bookshelves any day in my humble opinion.

Soft Rock

Rocks in your home? Well, you'd definitely want these soft rock cushions of Stephanie Marin's LivingStones & designer Ronel Jordaan because they not only look good & oh so minimal but they're, well, SOFT! Check out the picture with the kids diving into the rock cushions. So fun!

Rock on anyone? (I crack myself up sometimes)

Polish Paper Chandelier

This Polish Paper Chandelier I spotted over at Wren Handmade is just the perfect shade of muted loveliness in all its papery splendor. I'd love to make one for myself someday like how Sarah did.

Smallest Village

It's only November but it's good to think ahead I say! There this really awesome (and very detailed) calendar round-up over at Decor8 that you should check out. Lots of calendars featured there are totally up my alley but this Smallest Village Calendar from Anthropologie just stole my heart. “Within this paper mansion, six smaller abodes reside, each with a piece of the calendar year set against their clapboard and cedar siding.” So stinkin' adorable that I might just have to buy it.

Updates!

Hello again my darlings. I've been very productive lately so here I am, back with another update for the close of October! Told you I was going to be doing more updates than before right? Quite honestly I don't know how I'm going to keep the pace up but I'll try my darnest to keep the blogshop stocked up so you won't be dissapointed whenever you pop by for a dose of Mimpi. Fingers crossed.

Anyhoo, check out my latest offerings over at Earrings, Necklaces, Bracelets & More! I do hope you'll find something you'll love (Pssst! The much requested Puteri Biru has been remade & is now available. Snap it up quick! EDIT: Puteri Biru has now been reserved)

To those of you who missed the last update,
I'm giving away a couple of my very own homemade all-natural lip balms to some lucky ladies (or gentlemen)! The competition is still ON till 3rd November & all you have to do is leave a comment at this post telling me what it is you like best about Mimpi (it can be anything from the jewelry designs, my blog posts, my dogs & cats, anything!). Easy right? So what are you waiting for? Leave a comment already!

Oh, and on the bazaar front, I'll be joining Chic Pop next month...
You read right folks! The Chic Pop Street Market is BACK for round two & you don't want to miss it, trust me. I had a blast at the last event (as I always do at all Tongue In Chic events) & you can read all about my experience here. In the meantime, pencil in the date below & tell all your friends about it while you're at it.

Date: 15 Nov (Sun)
Time: 12pm - 7pm
Venue: Zouk, Jln Ampang
