I had the best time planning the decor & favors for my favorite 10 year old who just happens to be my little sister! I especially enjoyed it since I was given free reign to do whatever I wanted (within budget of course!) so I gave the birthday girl 3 themes to choose from. Imagine my glee when she chose the nautical theme which is the perfect fit for the pool party & something I’ve been dying to put my own spin on!
I kept things simple with origami paper boats & custom printed sails that I filled with fish biscuits, cupcake flags & polka dot balloons in shades of blue with pops of red as accent. For the kids’ table I placed a galvanised pail filled with blue glass paper to mimic water & placed a paper boat on it as centerpieces, & for the kids’ favors I did candy packs that had a layer of blueberry jelly beans, chocolate marshmallows & fish biscuits plus a small bottle of bubble solution.
