Bluebird Is Married!

I’ve been following Miss James’ blog Bluebird Vintage for awhile now because I think she’s one cool mama. She’s raising 4 little kiddos (she’s homeschooling all of them too!), has impeccable style & the way she writes keeps me going back for more. Anyhoots, this lovely lady just got hitched to her long-time beau & the video of their wedding is one of the few that has made me teary-eyed. I really love how laid back their wedding was (the styling was really cool too) & their love for each other really shone through. Have a looksee & I’m sure you’ll agree with me. Congratulations James & Aubrey!

Grown Up Alice In Wonderland Party

I am so digging this 30th birthday party at Palm Springs that has whimsical elements of everyone’s favorite story “Alice in Wonderland” but with a modern & decidedly adult twist. More pictures over here (trust me, you’re going to love it).

The Nimbus Factory

I fell HARD for this little web store that is an "uncommonly charming design boutique featuring illustrative design services, paper goods, and home decor products." Their site & products are my idea of perfect simplicity mixed in with a dash of humor & prettiness, which is something I personally strive for. Doesn’t hurt that I think the name Nimbus Factory (and the logo) is just as about as clever as you can get too! (I forgot that I blogged about them awhile back, which goes to show that my taste hasn't gone off tangent! Yay)

A Little Venting & iPhoneography

Dear readers, not everything in Mimpi Murni land is always happy. I try to keep things light across all my social platforms but honestly, sometimes I wish I could just vent. This last week has taught me a HUGE lesson & perhaps some day I’ll share it here with you but for now, let’s just say I don’t think this issue deserves any more of my attention. I am the perpetual optimist & anyone that tries to bring me down deserves a big fat pfffffffft!On a lighter note, here are some of my favorite pictures I took over the last couple of weeks with my iPhone & filtered with Instagram (look me up under mimpimurni).



My collection of china, spoons & trays for a photo shoot I did for a magazine. They're mostly Ikea purchases with some Daiso pieces thrown in along with some pieces I picked up while traveling.

Flowers I received for my birthday from a very lovely couple. Yup, it was my birthday last Tuesday! Another year older & wiser (hopefully).

One of my favorite perfumes which is Flowerbomb by Viktor & Rolf that I got for my birthday from a family member. This is the Summer limited edition called La Vie En Rose. I love, love the scent but truth be told, the grenade shape bottle won me over.

Pretty Pegs

Hate those chunky legs that came with your Ikea sofa? Well, you’re in luck because Pretty Pegs based in Sweden makes a wide range of adorable legs that easily screw into the bases of Ikea sofas and beds. Neat huh? I’m not too keen on the price tag but that’s what you have to pay for that tiny little detail that will make a difference in your décor.

DIY: Drawer Art DIY

DIY: Neon Lace Flats

I'm seriously intrigued by this video on how to applique your plain ol’ boring flats, transforming it into something in trend this season. I don’t know how the long the lace fabric will adhere to the shoe but I’m willing to give it a try, especially with one of my old, scuffed up flats.

Neue Graphic

While perusing Etsy’s Art section, I found some wonderful retro style prints by Neue Graphic which happens to be based right here in Kuala Lumpur! Imagine my excitement. I’m going to get the two prints featured here to go in my apartment (the hubby likes black & white prints for our living room walls but I get away with bright pops of colors when it comes to pillows & knick knacks).
