Cardboard Cabin
Ever noticed that cats love cardboard boxes? Apparently they love the odour of cardboard & the rippled texture so what better way than to indulge your kitties with their own little Cardboard Cabin! Loyal Luxe, the company that makes these, will ship them to you flatpacked & you just assemble it yourself with a few easy steps (it is after all a glorified cardboard box folks). At CND19.99 & shipping to Malaysia costing another CND15, I'm struggling to justify getting this for my cats (it's just so darn cool!) when they're happy with any ol' box we bring home.
Oh, you should check out Loyal Luxe's website just to melt over the adorable kitties playing in & around the cabin. So cute I could eat them (no, not really)!

Vanity Barcodes
Who would've thought barcodes could look pretty funky? If you ever find a need for barcodes give Vanity Barcodes a buzz. They offer a couple dozen pre-made barcode designs at $375 each, and they also take on custom orders.
Although I'm not in the market to get one of these for my products, I know for sure is that I'll keep my eyes peeled the next time I go shopping to spot one of babies!

Liberty of London
Anyone who loves fabric should know about Liberty of London. They're world renown for they're wonderful vintage-y prints, gorgeous use of color & excellent quality. Simply put: they're everything this girl loves! The big news is that they have now teamed up with the folks at Target in the US to come up with a line of homeware which we sadly can't get here but a little eye candy can't hurt right?

DIY Produce Bags
Instead of heading back to bed after lunch like I mentioned earlier, I headed to the pool for a quick swim since I thought the extra exertion might make me sleep better. However, the swim felt soooo good that I felt energised instead of tired & sleepy so I took the opportunity to work on a little project that I've been wanting to try for awhile now: making my own reusable produce bags!
You see, everytime I go grocery shopping I'd feel like the biggest hypocrite whenever I'd fill my reusable shopping bags with all the plastic produce bags of fruits & veggies I tend to load up on. So I did a little nosing around the internet & found this awesome Instructable for the simplest solution by making my own reusable produce bags with some tulle fabric & my handy dandy (brand new!) sewing machine.
Here's the tutorial if you want to give it a whirl & hey, if you don't have a sewing machine you can handsew it too! It took me about 5 minutes per bag on my sewing machine so that should give you an idea of how fast & easy this project is. You can also use these bags for a myriad of other purposes so go nuts & make as many as you can. Have fun!

Wish I Could
I've been having trouble getting to sleep at night so I'm not feeling so hot this morning. Wish I could just plop into bed right now & catch up with my snoozing. Maybe I will after lunch? I love my job.

A Moment To Oneself
A Moment to Oneself from clair neal on Vimeo.
After all the hoopla & family time spent over the Chinese New Year weekend, I could use a little me time. This video A Moment To Oneself is an enchanting stop-motion animation by Clair Neal. The girl goes through many rooms, all filled with different creative supplies that reminds me of my craft space which I desperately miss. Can't wait to start crafting again!

Happy Holidays!
Just thought I'd pop in for a last post before the long weekend coming up. As I'm half Chinese, I'm looking forward to celebrating the Chinese New Year weekend filled with food, food & more food plus catching up with my relatives over, what else, FOOD! You gotta love a festive holiday 'cause it gives you an excuse to indulge in otherwise hard to find delectables & good ol' home cooked food (courtesy of my Poh Poh aka Grandma).
This year Valentine's Day also falls on CNY so the boyfriend & I won't be spending it doing anything special but I'm working on a little something to surprise him with ;)
Anyways, here's wishing you lovely people...

Beautiful Skin
I love my iPhone. Seriously. I love that it's so easy to use & it works like magic with a simple wave (or more precisely, a simple swipe) of my fingers. With that being said, I think I should take better care of it & these drool worthy leather iPhone cases by Beautiful Skin are just the ticket.

Mimpi ♥ BFM Radio
Did you catch me live on BFM 89.9 yesterday? In case you didn't, here's the podcast if you want to have a little listen of me chatting with the lovely Freda Liu about all things Mimpi Murni.
I have to say chatting (and really, that was all it was) with Freda was a lot of fun as she was awfully friendly & it helped heaps that she personally likes my designs. She even had me remake Maduri for her to purchase which she wore straight away before & during the show! I love it when that happens. Katja, also on the BFM team, who I exchanged emails with prior to the show was really helpful too & helped me calm down before the show. So yeah, I really couldn't have asked for a better experience as it was my first time on radio. I just hope I don't sound like such a ditzy space cadet as I tend to when I'm put on the spot! Hehehe.
Oh, I have to say a huge THANK YOU to Michelle of The Kinder Soap Company who hooked me up with BFM in the first place! Michelle is truly a generous soul & when I grow up, I want to be just like her ;)
