Freebie: Keep Calm & Grow On Print

Keep calm stache
Here's the little freebie I promised you lovely folks earlier this week! I created this print specifically for an event I did last Sunday & since the event is over & done with plus I've been getting a few enquiries about the print, I thought why not just share it on my blog? Sharing is caring after all, and my blog readers are some of the best! To have a copy of this print for your own PERSONAL use (please don't resell it), just right click the image above, save & print. It's that simple.

P/S: The print is meant to fit a 10 x 15 cm frame but if you're like me & have a ton of prints, just washi tape the sides onto any available space on your wall. Tadaaa!

Rebus Valentine

IMG_8938
I love, love, love this simple Valentine’s card that you can download & print for free over at Martha Stewart’s Craft Department blog. According to the description, it incorporates old fashioned rebuses & if you’re like me & went “huh?? What the heck is a rebus?” I looked it up on Wikipedia: “a rebus is an allusional device that uses pictures to represent words or parts of words.” Well, isn’t that nifty? Don’t forget to print this out for your Valentine dears!

Hey, It’s Christmas!

Merry Christmas to one & all! Here’s a great digital album with familiar Christmas tunes covered by indie artists like The Oceanauts, Eutopian Accident & Danny Legget (yeah, I’ve never heard of them either). I personally don’t celebrate Christmas but I love good music and folks, this is pretty good. Huge plus point is that it’s FREE! So go download it now & get into the that Christmassy mood.

DIY Granola

I have a soft spot for granola. Especially when eaten with yogurt. Mmmmmm, I'm making myself hungry all over again!

However, store bought granola sometimes contains waaaaay too much sugar & perservatives so I've been doing a bit of research (got a little carried away hence the late post today) of great recipes so that I can whip up some for myself. That is, after this whole Bertunang madness is over!

Here's a really simple recipe I found over at Bake It Pretty thanks to Sweet Tidings. It has the awesome combination of apricots & almonds (which I LOVE!) & there's even a sweet little printable for you to stick on jars to give out your finished granola as presents! That's just perfect in my books.

Craftifesto

Ok seriously. The last couple of days have been crazy hectic & I haven't been able to concentrate on much (if you've been following my twitter you might have an idea why). My crafting & this blog has been suffering so today I'm going to channel The Craftifesto written by Amy Carlton & Cinnamon Copper, who organizes the DIY Trunk Show in Chicago. This illustration by Kate Bingaman-Burt appears in Handmade Nation, the book & documentary written/produced by Faythe Levine & Cortney Heimerl, which documents the handmade movement in the United States (I've blogged about it here).

Download your very own copy of The Craftifesto here & remember, the power is in your hands!
